Who we are
CHEF AI runs chefaicookware.com. For any question about this notice or your data, email info@chefaicookware.com.
What we collect
- How the site is used. Pages you view, what you click, how far you scroll, how much of a video you watch, how fast pages load, the link or site that sent you, and your device, browser and operating system. We use PostHog for this.
- IP address and approximate location. PostHog receives your IP address and works out an approximate city, region and country from it.
- Session recordings. A replay of how pages were used. Anything typed into a form field is masked.
- Reference codes. Some links we send include a short code, so we can tell that a particular link was opened.
- Your email address. If you sign up for our newsletter.
- Booking details. Our booking buttons open Calendly, which collects what you enter there under its own privacy policy. What you type into the form on our home page is not sent to us; submitting it opens Calendly.
None of this is required to use the site.
Cookies and Do Not Track
PostHog keeps an identifier in a cookie and in your browser's local storage, so repeat visits count as one visitor. If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, the site collects no analytics.
Why we use it
To learn which parts of the site are useful and which organizations are interested in what we build, to improve the site, to follow up on business inquiries, and to send the newsletter you asked for.
Who else handles it
- PostHog. Our analytics provider. It stores this data in the United States.
- GitHub. Hosts the site and may log IP addresses to keep it secure.
- Calendly. When you book a call.
- YouTube. For the videos on our Media page, which load in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode. YouTube may set cookies when you play one.
- Our newsletter service. To store and send the newsletter.
We do not sell your personal information or share it for advertising. Apart from YouTube when you play a video, no third party tracks you across other sites through ours.
How long we keep it
Session recordings are deleted after 30 days. Other analytics data only as long as it helps with the purposes above. Newsletter addresses until you ask to be removed.
Your choices and rights
- Stop analytics. Turn on Do Not Track in your browser, or block cookies.
- Leave the newsletter. Ask us at any time and we will remove you.
- See, correct, delete or move your data. Email info@chefaicookware.com. We reply within one month.
- EU and UK. You can also restrict or object to our processing, and complain to your data protection authority. We rely on our legitimate interest in understanding interest in our products for analytics, and on your request for the newsletter.
Changes
If this notice changes, we will update the date at the top.
